![]() ![]() My favourite ones are '505' and 'Wanna be yours' so far. Saves me a lot of time, too, when searching for new music. Could you recommend me a song, please I am a new fan, and I listened to a couple of their songs. I used to have a problem when using a seeded search, whereby I would go to add a recommendation to my genre playlist only to find I already have it, but thanks to another Redditor's suggestion, I now have my genre playlists (but not the seeded search ones) in download mode, so the "downloaded" symbol will appear beside any recommended tracks that I already have in any of my playlists, so I can skip those ones. This usually results in quite a different set of recommendations than before. If the recommendations start to go stale, I remove all the tracks from the seeded search playlist and repopulate it with a fresh set of tracks from the genre playlist. Since Spotify now only has a few example tracks on which to base its recommendations, they tend to be better targeted than when it's working off a huge playlist. I then use Spotify's recommendations - for the seeded search playlist - but any new tracks I like are added to the corresponding genre playlist, not the seeded search playlist. Each seeded search playlist will contain only about half a dozen tracks I particularly like, copied from the corresponding genre playlist - these are the seeds. Speaking English seems to be a lot more different. Recommend to me is a bit unusual to me but I don’t know whether it is grammatically the correct one or not. I've often wondered if Spotify only pays attention to the first several tracks in any large playlist, and therefore brings up the same old recommendations time after time, ignoring all the recently-added tracks.Īs a workaround, have found it helpful to create what I call a small "seeded search" playlist for each of my main genre-based playlists.
